Costa Rica Nature & Culture Escape Dates: December 2 – December 6, 2026 Day 1: Arrival in Liberia & Beach Sunset Welcome Arrive in Liberia, Costa Rica, and travel to the Papagayo Peninsula or Playa Hermosa for a luxurious beachfront stay. Unwind with fresh coconut water or a tropical cocktail as you watch the sun melt into the Pacific Ocean. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local seafood restaurant, featuring grilled snapper, plantains, and tangy chimichurri—your first taste of Costa Rica’s vibrant flavors. Day 2: Local Fruits & Village Life in Bagaces Take a morning drive to Bagaces, a charming town known for its relaxed atmosphere and lush surroundings. Visit a local fruit farm and sample exotic fruits such as guanábana, mamón chino, and starfruit straight from the trees. Enjoy lunch with a local family or at a village café serving traditional casado plates. Optional activities include soaking in Rio Perdido’s thermal river or ziplining through the canyon for a dose of adventure. Day 3: Waterfall Wonders in La Fortuna Travel to La Fortuna, home of the breathtaking La Fortuna Waterfall. Hike down to the jade-colored pool and take a refreshing swim beneath the cascading falls. Later, explore Arenal Volcano National Park, where scenic trails and wildlife encounters await. End the day with dinner at a farm-to-table restaurant showcasing local ingredients and Costa Rican fusion cuisine. Day 4: Cloud Forest & Artisan Villages in Monteverde Journey by boat and road to Monteverde, a misty mountain town rich in biodiversity. Walk the hanging bridges through the cloud forest canopy and immerse yourself in nature. Visit Santa Elena Village for artisan cheese, coffee tastings, and handmade crafts created by local artisans. Day 5: Beach Farewell in Tamarindo Head to Tamarindo, a lively surf town known for its golden beaches and bohemian charm. Start the morning with a surf lesson or beach yoga session, followed by brunch featuring tropical fruit smoothies and gallo pinto. Enjoy last-minute shopping at local markets before departing for the airport. Payment Options Depending on the trip selected, guests may choose: Pay in Full – One-time payment at checkout Monthly Payment Plan – Equal monthly installments until the total trip cost is paid in full Payment details and schedules are displayed at checkout prior to confirmation. Payment Plan Terms Monthly payments are automatically charged to the payment method on file. Payments must remain current to maintain your reservation. Missed or failed payments may result in cancellation of your booking without refund, and reinstatement is not guaranteed. Refund & Cancellation Policy All payments made to Black Pearl Odysseys are non-refundable, including deposits, partial payments, and paid-in-full bookings. We strongly recommend purchasing Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel insurance to protect your investment. Trip Modifications Black Pearl Odysseys reserves the right to adjust itineraries, accommodations, or activities due to weather, safety concerns, vendor availability, or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be communicated when possible. Travel Insurance Travel insurance is not included in the trip price. Guests are encouraged to obtain coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, delays, and interruptions. Guest Responsibility Guests are responsible for valid travel documents, meeting entry requirements, and arriving on time for scheduled activities.
